HUTTOPARKE
NEIGHBORHOOD WATCH PROGRAM

Welcome to the HuttoParke Neighborhood Watch Program.

The purpose of the Neighborhood Watch Program is to enlist the eyes and ears of the residents and property owners living in HuttoParke to identify, reduce and if possible eliminate crime within the community. In cooperation with the Williamson County Sheriff’s Department and the City of Hutto Police Department, residents keep a watchful eye on the activities happening within the community and share that information with their neighbors via this website.

HuttoParke is still under development and we have a lot of activity taking place. Residents are coming and going at all hours, construction workers of all types are building new homes. HuttoParke also has a large number of visitors, some looking for homes, some just driving through just to see what HuttoParke offers. To some visitors that also means what is available to steal. As a result of all the activity, it’s difficult to tell just who’s who and what their business is in the community.

The Neighborhood Watch program in HuttoParke is not an active patrol on foot or in cars, or citizens walking a beat. Neighborhood Watch members are not on a scheduled duty roster. Every resident of the community serves as a concerned citizen, watching and listening as they drive the streets or sit at home. They report suspicious activities to their designated block captains, who are trained to evaluate the information and if necessary call the appropriate authorities.

When neighbors know neighbors and become familiar with the normal course of activities around their homes, the out of the ordinary becomes something that concerns them and is reported. We all have a part to play in making sure HuttoParke is as crime free as possible, and while the program is officially named the "Neighborhood Watch Program" it is very simply being a "GOOD NEIGHBOR".

Please see our postings concerning HuttoParke happenings and remember to report suspicious activities to the Neighborhood Watch Chair.
